Abstract

Think the sense of humanity has constituted one of the major ethical challenges of modernity. The purpose of this article is to discuss the limits of human category, from the problematization of the concept of monster, a cultural category that allows us to think about the lives placed outside the field of social intelligibility. This is a survey of bibliographic cut and reflexive. The discussion about the limits of humanity has raised a range of issues that need to be put on the agenda, under the risk of placing in danger the effectiveness of actions geared toward social inclusion. It is the text highlighting the centrality of empathy as the affection that paves the way for the recognition of humanity from the monsters.
